Sit With Us was created by a 16-year-old girl who experienced severe bullying and understands the pain of eating alone. Her goal was to ensure that no child feels like they have nowhere to go, and with Sit With Us, that goal is being achieved. By inviting others to join the lunch table, kids not only foster a warmer and more welcoming community but also have the opportunity to make new friends.
To get started, simply sign in via email or Facebook and enter your school and address to connect with fellow students. The app offers a range of features including the ability to create a personal profile, add friends, search for nearby lunches, and invite friends to join. Users can also become Sit With Us Ambassadors for their schools, hosting open lunches that anyone can join. The app also includes messaging features, notifications to keep you updated, and a message center to view your chat history.
